The Game AI course covers topics including agent movement, path planning, decision making, goal-oriented behavior, learning, and procedural content generation.

Game AI was much more fun than AI4R which was at times tedious to get to pass the grader. Game AI allowed you to write a dodgeball simulator with minions, drive a car using fuzzy logic control or ML-based control and construct cool algos for representing navigation in real games. Both classes are cool, just Game AI was better and more applicable to real life. C# use was simple, almost felt like using Python.

Game ai is a pretty easy course. Took it last summer and thought it was a good and fun summer course.

 Game AI is an interesting class with a very dedicated staff, however you can tell that it's newer and still in the phase where it needs some polishing in a sense. The lectures tend to be way longer than I would think is necessary, a lot of the information provided isn't concise which differs from all of the other classes I've taken. They also aren't broken down into smaller parts and therefore aren't easy to search through to review specific content. Overall, it's been an interesting class and again I'll reiterate how dedicated the teaching staff is, but the course itself logistically has room for improvement

I don't think GAI will help with AI but it's an interesting class if you are interested in video game AI. It's also in C# where AI is all python.

Game AI might be my favorite class I’ve taken in the program. Self driving truck and prison dodge ball probably my favorite projects.

This was a natural follow-up to VGD. Since I had already taken VGD and the first half of AI (twice), the course was probably less challenging for me than for those less familiar with topics such as search algorithms (Dijkstra’s Algorithm, BFS, DFS, A*, etc.). I really enjoyed learning about and implementing decision trees, fuzzy logic, path planning, and procedural content generation, among others. The projects were a lot of fun and reinforced the concepts learned in the lectures - prison dodgeball with the minions and the fuzzy logic racetrack were my favorites. I further developed my C# and Unity skills as well. Again, kudos to Dr. Wilson for making an enjoyable learning experience.

Game AI is more fun, but less practical unless you're actually going to make video games.
